Abstract

The experience of application of information and communication technologies in the process of studying Ukrainian as a foreign language by medical students with the aim of their socio-adaptation and formation of communicative-professional competency is presented in the article. The authors emphasize, that multimedia presentations are effective means for teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language, which are created in PowerPoint and which provide realization of the principle of visualization and facilitate assimilation of vocabulary-phraseological material. Also the investigation describes organization of distance learning at Higher state educational institution «Bukovyna state medical university», namely: creation and functioning of the server of distance learning and electronic register of progress at free of charge electronic educational Moodle platform, that promotes classroom and extra-classroom learning of both special medical disciplines and subjects of social-humanitarian cycle, which include Ukrainian as a foreign language. It has been defined, that creation of mental cards is effective technology for studying Ukrainian as a foreign language with the help of such Internet-services as Cliffy; Mindomo; Spinscape; MAPMYself; MindMeister; Bubbl.us; SpiderScribe. Critical analysis of Ukrainian websites of Ukrainian language distance learning for foreigners, including http://www.speakukraine.net; http://www. ukrainianlessons.com, etc., has been carried out. The authors single out the mobile applications created in Ukraine and diaspora and the most adapted ones for learning Ukrainian as a foreign language. The accent is paid on that application of information and communication technologies promotes organization of foreign students’ individual searching work in the process of language assimilation. It has been noted, that further prospects can be directed into improvement of professionally-communicative competency of foreign medical student by new ICT introduction, in particular cloud educational technologies, development of concepts of electronic interactive manuals in Ukrainian as a foreign language.
