Editorial Policy

The Editorial Board of the journal conducts its activities in accordance with contemporary international principles of responsible scholarly communication and open science.

The journal supports the principles of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) (https://sfdora.org/about-dora/) and evaluates scholarly publications without using bibliometric indicators (such as impact factor, h-index, etc.) as decisive criteria. Primary emphasis is placed on the quality of the research, its scientific novelty, methodological soundness, and contribution to the advancement of knowledge.

The Editorial Board recognises the value of diverse research outputs, including scholarly publications, research data, software, algorithms, and digital solutions, and encourages open access to research data and source code. The journal’s data policy is based on the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).

The journal adheres to the principles of open science and supports international initiatives, including the Budapest Open Access Initiative, the Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC), the Initiative for Open Abstracts (I4OA), and the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information. The implementation of these principles entails open access to full-text publications, openness of abstracts and bibliographic references, transparency of scholarly information, and support for the responsible use of open research metadata.

The publisher of the journal, the Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, is a signatory and member of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) (https://www.coara.org/signatoriescategories/ukraine/), which confirms its institutional commitment to the principles of responsible research assessment and the reform of scholarly communication practices.
